If you install the bamboo too soon then you could end up having it shrink and the edges not meeting the walls. Or even worse you could end up with edge crush, which is when the floor expands and is pushed up at the edges. This can actually be dangerous and lead to all kinds of accidents around the house.

When letting the bamboo acclimate you need to take it out of the packaging and put it in the room where you plan on laying it down. Leave it there for at least two days but a week or so would be preferable. Lay the planks out separately because if they are on top of each other they will not be able to adjust properly.
